Hello and welcome to the newly redecorated living room of "We're Very Sorry About This..." - that somewhat bizarre glimpse into a Britain that no longer exists, except in our minds - So if you'd like to take off your jam spattered wellington slippers and slip out of something more comfortable, then you may continue to read down this page. If you don't slip out, well, read on anyway, because we're nice.

the cast of VSAT
Right this bit of the site wll explain to you the weird and twisted people behind VSAT, as well as going onto discuss the characters that they play later on. If that's the bit you're after, then skip this bit of nonsense by clicking here. If however, you're silly enough to want to read about us three, then read on MacDuff, to horribly and brutally crucify that famous quote of Shakespeare...

As this image shows, if Maitiu were God, the world would be a big sombrero...

Christopher Allan
Born in 1988 in the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, Chris soon found that being funny and comedic allowed him to keep his lunch money at school. After showing no particular academic talent he decided to devote his life to making other people laugh - with him, not at him. He is yet to succeed.

VSAT is, perhaps, the culmination of this desire. As one of the original creators of the show, he maintains a highe degree of ownership and influence in the making and shaping of a show. He voices Kit Balloon, the Announcer, and Rice Pudding among other smaller more random roles, but his main part within the VSAT team is to come up with a script each time they need one. As principal writer on the squad, this usually means sitting in a room trying to think of a random title, (see "The Great Toothsack of 1899" for evidence of how weird his mind can be) and then shape some lines around a so-called "plot". He also is the principal editor of the show as well as webmaster of the VSAT site.

Current ambitions include going to Cambridge University, becoming Prime Minister, and of course, inevitably, continuing to make people laugh and have a good time.

Neil Carmichael

Neil Carmichael is the latest addition to the VSAT team. Born in 1987 and found to be another one of life's humorous characters he was a natural person to whom we could extend the franchise of VSAT. Neil's voices help to bring to life many of the show's more random characters, (Professor Norris "Insert something here" Millar and Pedro for example) and it is regrettable that he only features in the 3rd volume, for both Chris and Maitiu feel he could add much to the earlier shows. Neil's roles, whilst mainly involving voice-acting are not limited to that field. He comes up with many more of the random lines in the show as well as thinking up weird and bizarre images for the website (see the above sombrero image if you want to know how weird and bizzare). His ambitions in life include becoming a reputable photographer, though if he worked in the press the paper doesn't have to reputable - if you catch my drift.

Maitiu Corbett
Last due to the quirks of the alphabet but in no means least here is the other original member of the VSAT squad. Matiu (pronounced like you're sneezing) is perhaps the most outlandish of this outlandish team. Providing voices as varied as Nicholas Mort,Funjabba and the Government Contact Maitiu is the the main voice actor in this VSAT team. The others quite happily call Mat the driving force behind the show, as it is he who shouts at Chris for not bothering to do anything or berates Neil for being a bit too, ahem, "creative" in his plot ideas.

Still, Mat intends to never do a "proper" job in his life. He either wants to be a musician or some other kind of performer (maybe do VSAT on a professional basis) rather then sit behind a desk refusing loans to some poor chap.

Equally worth a mention in any section about Maitiu Corbett is his hair, which changes every day. We think it's alive, breeding and planning to kill us all. Or it's Neil's over-active imagination, but to be honest, I'm not entirely sure which...
