Hello and welcome to the newly redecorated living room of "We're Very Sorry About This..." - that somewhat bizarre glimpse into a Britain that no longer exists, except in our minds - So if you'd like to take off your jam spattered wellington slippers and slip out of something more comfortable, then you may continue to read down this page. If you don't slip out, well, read on anyway, because we're nice.

the characters of VSAT
VSAT's cast members all play an interesting number and variety of parts. Here you can find out a little bit more about the characters themselves. To get an even clearer image of the characters, be sure to check out the quotes page!

This image, originally intended for the cover of Volume 2, shows the characters in a group repose. From left to right: Fritz, Mort, Froggie, Funjabba, Pinny, Kit Balloon & The Ranger

Kit Balloon
Kit Balloon is the patriotic British hero. Idiotic as it seems, he believes in his country and will do anything to help it out in a crisis. However, his bumbling frequently causes more problems then it solves. Charging all over the world in his cloak made entirely of Union Jack, this secret agent isn't.

Nicholas Mort
Mort went to the same school as Kit Balloon and yet turned out to be quite a cunning sort. Believing solely in personal gain this evil chap is the stereotypical British bad guy.

Pinny
Pinny is Kit's faithful assistant. Without this young school lad running things, Kit's life would soon fall apart. As Kit's main companion this poor lad is frequently kidnapped in an effort to get to Kit, but Pinny remains loyal, even under such duress.

The Ranger

The nameless wonder that is the Ranger is the show's Scottish connection. Named thus after the part he played in The Search for the Yeti this haggis-muncher frequently pops up to either help or hinder the progress of our illustrious hero.

The Government Contact
Another nameless chap, this is the man who sets Kit his tasks when he works for the government. An old public schoolboy, he's conservative to the core and doesn't quite fit into modern Blighty...

The Ranger brandishes his claymore...

Funjabba

Mort's Pinny, this hunchback helps Mort in all his evil schemes. Particularly good at boot-polishing, this is the dogsbody of choice for all evil geniuses world-wide.

Froggie & Fritz
The dreadful duo of Froggie & Fritz can be witnessed in most episodes of VSAT. Hailing from continental Europe these gentlemen can work for either side. Froggie's chain-smoking has proved useful in the past, especially when the recording studio's lights failed...
