Hello and welcome to the newly redecorated living room of "We're Very Sorry About This..." - that somewhat bizarre glimpse into a Britain that no longer exists, except in our minds - So if you'd like to take off your jam spattered wellington slippers and slip out of something more comfortable, then you may continue to read down this page. If you don't slip out, well, read on anyway, because we're nice.

"...and then volume three was made, and lo! it had a new guy in it."
Volume 3, episode 5. A fateful episode indeed. Neil Carmichael happened, and he happened with style. When King Kit's New Bathtub (for that was the name of that episode) was played to an assorted collection of people they loved it. We put this down to Neil's fine use of "Is good plan. Is very good plan." as his character, Pedro and thus the 3 man team of VSAT was born, (to hear that fantastically delivered plan, head on over to the quotes section).

Neil's area of expertise would turn out to be taking an unfunny line (which, trust me, there are an awful lot of in VSAT, the writer's atrocious) and make it bowel-clenchingly funny. He also would come up with ideas that would make Chris and Maitiu's ejector sofas and burning sombrero tickets (both from The Great Toothsack of 1899 look tame, sober and realistic).

And yet, despite waffling for nearly half the length of this web-page, I have spectacularly managed to fail to explain to you, o hapless browser, how Neil came to join the VSAT team. Let me rectify this post-haste.

Neil heard (and adored, cherished, loved, etc.) the first 4 volumes shows of VSAT and was one of the large collection (read only) fan. Maitiu and Chris were stuck, Chris had written 2 parts into King Kit's New Bathtub expecting Mat and him (as usual) to be able to come up with some random voices between them that would cover it. Only they didn't. Neither Mat nor Chris could think of a voice that suited the characters. Then, a few days after this mental block, when having a laugh with Neil, he said something in a funny voice. The 2 VSAT cast members looked at each and had the same thought: "That was very funny. I wonder..."

And so Neil came round and recorded the lines at the next recording session, they were put into the episode and they are great lines, oft-quoted around the VSAT office whenever a good idea is voiced. The idea is invariably met with "Is good plan. is very good plan."
